Monthly Message - October
(Usually updated by mid-month)
AWE
I had already written most of the message I was going to post for this month when suddenly last week, I felt inspired to write a different message after reading an article about 'awe' and what creates that feeling. Awe is often described as that which gives us the feeling of being in the presence of something vast that transcends our current level of understanding.
Many years ago a friend of ours always seemed to have the wonderful ability to alter his perception and see the magic and mysterious in the world around him. He was a smart successful computer person, but whenever he was out in nature or around something unusual, he could expand his logical thinking to view the world, as if through the lens of an inquisitive child. And as he explored, each new discovery seemed filled with wonder and delight. I believe he was often experiencing his own states of awe.
They may not have been the big and profound moments of awe that take your breath away, but rather perhaps small moments of awe that made him question how that particular blade of grass knew how to spiral up to the sky or wonder how a single lovely flower knew how to unfurl its petals in a special sequencing, or even how someone could have possibly been so inspired as to carve something unbelievably unique in a building's design, causing it to have a totally different look.
If we could gift ourselves with looking, and finding, even something small that can invoke this sense of awe, as often as we possibly could, I believe it would help us get through the difficult times we all have to face. Most people agree that there are countless benefits derived from encountering these moments of awe when you are enveloped in their energies - something I'll be discussing in next month's message.
But in the meantime, I'm going to ask you to think about (1) what inspires awe in you and (2) how many different ways can you find to open to new experiences so you can not only experience awe, but embrace it and make it part of your everyday life? Enjoy and have fun in your discoveries.
As always,
May your heart expand to recognize and appreciate all the wonderful people,
other Souls, and incredible blessings you have in your life . . . and whenever
possible, may you share with others.

Reiki World Peace Card Meditations
Being a Reiki Master/Teacher, I feel very strongly about the effects of this beautiful and powerful modality, and know that the energies can transform our world, one person at a time. Many people were initially triggered by Reiki energy when they received attunements and went on to open up to many additional healing and spiritual gifts.
While some believe other modalities have more power, I believe they're all just individual frequencies of energies, each having its own unique vibration, and different correspondence to each person.
